The Tascam FR-AV2 is a compact audio recorder packed with professional features for busy DIY videographers working in the field without a crew and who don't want to worry about clipping their audio.
The FR-AV2's lightweight fiberglass enclosure is designed for use with camera rigs. The vibrant 2" color LCD display maximizes visibility and operability when shooting outdoor. Fine-tune your sound before capture with the onboard low-cut filter, compressor, limiter, and noise gate. Audio is recorded to an SDXC card of up to 512GB, at rates up to 192 kHz.
The unit can also function as a 2-in / 2-out USB-C audio interface for Mac/Windows computers and iOS devices, enabling you to track professional-grade audio with timecode to your iPhone/iPad rig using a USB-C cable. The FR-AV2 can be powered via three AA batteries, USB bus power, or with an AC adapter (available separately).
